Notes on Recipe Ingredients
- Peanut butter: you can use smooth peanut butter or crunchy peanut butter. Look for natural peanut butter without palm oil, added sugar or salt. Peanut butter adds flavor and a creamy texture in this fudge.
- Dates: for sweetness. You can use regular dates (or mejdool dates). I recommend weighing the dates (once pitted/pits removed) for accuracy as dates vary in size.
- Coconut oil: use organic unrefined coconut oil which is cold-pressed. This helps with the texture of the fudge. Melt the coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl (or in a pan on medium heat) before adding to the fudge
mixture.
Equipment
You will need a small food processor or handheld blender for this easy fudge recipe.

How to Make This 3 Ingredient Peanut Butter Fudge Recipe
- Blend the pitted dates into a smooth sticky paste.
- Add peanut butter and blend to combine. Add in the melted coconut oil.
- Transfer the fudgy peanut butter mixture into a small lined freezer-friendly container and freeze until set (for approximately 2 hours). Cut into small pieces, serve and enjoy! Optional - garnish the top of the fudge with chopped peanuts.
Tips for making the BEST Peanut Butter Freezer-Fudge
- Use high-quality dates: these will bring sweetness and a depth of flavor in the fudge. Make sure dates are pitted (or you have removed the pits/seeds before weighing and blending them).
- Store in freezer: this recipe is for freezer-fudge. Make sure you store this fudge in the freezer for the best texture. At room temperature (or in the fridge) it will soften (like ice cream!).
- Line container with parchment paper (baking paper or wax paper): before transfering the fudge mixture into a container ensure it is lined. This makes it easier to take out the fudge after it sets. You can also transfer fudge mixture into a small lined square pan. Loosely cover the prepared pan with cling film/plastic wrap before tranfering to the freezer.
- Cut into small squares/pieces: Use a sharp knife to cut fudge into squares. You can carefully transfer the set fudge onto a cutting board before cutting into bite-sized pieces.
Storage Tips
Store in the freezer for up to 3 months in an airtight container (which is freezer-friendly). Allow the fudge sit at room temperature for 10 minutes before enjoying for the best texture.
