Medium applesBraeburn or Gala (cored and cut into quarters) x 3 (optional)
½cupwaterplus additional ¼ cup if required (see notes)
1ice cube
Instructions
Add half a cup of water to the blender followed by the apples, oranges, passion fruit pulp and carrot. Add one cube of ice.
Secure lid firmly onto blender and blitz using the juice setting on your blender, for 1 minute, or until juice is smooth. If required, add another ¼ cup of water to make up to 3 cups of juice – blitz for 20 seconds until mixed. Serve and enjoy!
Notes
Adjust the water – the water content varies in apples and oranges, therefore to ensure you do not add too much water, start with less water when blitzing the fruit and veg – you can always add the remaining water to make up to 3 glasses.
Add ice – this will cool down the temperature of the juice (as the motor of the blender will warm up the drink).
Use fresh ingredients – for best results, make sure to select the freshest ingredients. When selecting apples, ensure they are firm to touch with no soft spots. Ensure the oranges are also fresh with no seeds. If you notice seeds in the oranges, remove them before adding to the blender – this will prevent any bitterness from the seeds. Ensure the carrots are firm with no soft or brown spots – peel and rinse before use. When selecting passion fruit, ensure it is firm to touch and ripe (if it is slightly wrinkly that means it is ripe).
Pause and shake if required – if you notice the fruit is not fully incorporating – or the fruit is not mixing – I recommend stopping the blender and gently shaking and then resuming – this helps to ensure the blade appropriately blitzes the fruit and veg to make a smooth, fresh juice.
