Adjust consistency and taste for seasoning according to preference. Optional – for a stronger taste you can add a pinch of minced garlic and/or more mint chutney.

Use fresh ingredients: use fresh mint chutney (made with fresh ingredients) and yoghurt for the best flavour.
Taste and adjust as desired: you can control the spice and flavour in this chutney by adjusting the ratio of mint chutney to yoghurt. For a milder flavour add slightly less mint chutney. For a stronger flavour, add a pinch of minced garlic and/or another teaspoon of mint chutney.
Serve chilled: this Indian mint sauce served immediately or chilled – I recommend making this chutney in advance and storing it in the fridge so you can serve it chilled (this is particularly nice when serving with hot appetizers!).
Whisk the yogurt until smooth: this helps give you a smooth mint sauce so the flavour is evenly distributed in each spoonful.
